Ring
in the Holiday Season at 3rd Annual Blossom Holiday Lighting Festival Presented
by Marc’sThe sprawling acreage of Blossom Music Center will be aglow with
millions of colorful twinkling lights during the 3rd annual Blossom Holiday Lighting
Festival presented by Marc’s. From Friday, November 28, 2008 through Sunday,
January 4, 2009, the outdoor music venue in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, will transform
into a spectacular two-mile drive-through holiday destination.
The Blossom Holiday Lighting Festival is the biggest
lighting display in Northeast Ohio. Visitors can view more than 300 individual
lighting displays during a leisurely and scenic drive through the Blossom grounds.
The tallest display will reach a height of 45 feet and the longest will extend
more than 200 feet. To create the Festival’s
more than 42 major scenes, Indiana-based Winterland, Inc., a national leader in
holiday lighting displays, will illuminate the evening sky using some two million
lights. Three popular attractions, “The 12 Days of Christmas,” “Snowflake
Archway” and “Tunnel of Lights” will return once again to dazzle
visitors. Popular cartoon characters, pop culture icons and traditional holiday
themes will also light up the winter nights. Some scenes feature animation and
blinking lights while other displays are stationary. To further enhance the festive
experience, visitors can tune into an “in park only” channel on their
car radio to enjoy the sounds of holiday music while driving through the giant
light show. The Blossom Holiday Lighting Festival
will be open Thursday through Sunday evenings beginning November 28, 2008 –
Sunday, December 14th. Beginning December 18th, the event will be open every day
of the week until Sunday, January 4, 2009, including Christmas Eve and New Year’s
Day. The Festival is closed on Christmas (December 25) and New Year’s Eve
